Netflix came out on February 14th The reunion of the individual’s Hella special episode with the cast of Single’s Inferno Season 5. The reunion captured the honest, unfiltered behind-the-scenes stories that continued even after filming ended.
Watching his scenes through VCR footage, Kim Jae Jin candidly shared: “I feel like I’m watching my private life being filmed. I didn’t even think about the cameras, I was completely honest. Instead of feeling agitated, I feel embarrassed. It’s embarrassing to watch myself. I feel like something only I knew about has been discovered.” Lee Joo Young echoed his sentiments, saying: “I’m a little embarrassed too, but I was really sincere. It’s nice to see him again. Even if I had gone back, I think I would have said the same things.”
Fellow cast member Youn Hyeon Jae reflected on their natural chemistry, commenting: “I didn’t realize the two of them were so comfortable and in tune. I wondered what kind of wall I was knocking on.” Lee Ha Eun agrees, adding that it was like trying to break through a wall that would never budge.
Youn Hyeon Jae further noted: “I realized that Joo Young was a person who could express himself so well. I thought, ‘That must be his real partner. I must have looked at the wrong address.'”
During Singles Hell 5Kim Jae Jin and Lee Joo Young eventually became the final couple. Reflecting on his experience, Kim Jae Jin said, “I was more honest than I expected. It was a precious moment. Looking back, the fact that I spent time with people I could never have met anywhere else makes it even more meaningful.”
Lee Joo Young also shared her thoughts, saying: “I wondered if I would ever experience something like this again in my life. I think I could talk about this story forever and never get bored. It became a beautiful memory.”
The more pressing question, however, was whether they would continue dating after the show. When asked, “Did you go out with Jae Jin after the show ended?” Lee Joo Young revealed, “After we left, we went for ice cream. We went there almost immediately after filming finished. It still felt like we were filming. He came to see my show and we stayed in constant contact and are doing well.”
Kim Jae Jin confirmed, “We’re doing well. When I have shows, Joo Young comes to see them. When he has exhibitions, I go to see them. We stay in touch, meet up and we’re doing well.”
Lee Joo Young added with a smile, “Even after we left, we said to each other, ‘We’ll see each other for a long time’ and ‘Let’s continue to get along’. We’re still in touch and we’re fine. Really.”
When told that many viewers were curious about their current relationship, Kim Jae Jin carefully responded, “To those who are curious about us: After leaving the island, I thought that I wanted to get to know Joo Young more seriously. We developed good feelings then, so we should continue to get to know each other and see how things go.”
In the meantime, Singles Hell 5 is a bold and candid dating reality show set on a remote island known as “Hell”, where singles must become a couple to escape. Recently, Kim Jae Jin also gained attention after replying to a comment on social media with the hashtag “#Single’sInferno,” sparking further speculation about his relationship status.
