Naver Profile Error Exposes Celebrities’ Old Q&A Posts: Kim Hye-yoon and Go Youn-jung Draw Attention

According to reports, a system update has caused a “Knowledge iN” button to appear on some celebrity profiles. The glitch allowed users to access previously anonymous responses posted by public figures. The problem quickly spread through online communities, prompting Naver to acknowledge the error and restore the system shortly thereafter. Despite the short period of exposure, Internet users quickly discovered and shared past Q&A posts from various celebrities, sparking interest due to the candid, youthful tone found in many of the responses.

Among the most talked about findings was actress Kim Hye-yoon’s Q&A post from 2007. At the time, Kim honestly shared her academic performance by offering study tips to another user. He reportedly wrote it he had scored an average of about 86 points and admitted that he was not naturally strong academically. He recommended solving practice workbooks and reviewing textbooks repeatedly, adding that he hoped his short message would help the user prepare for midterm exams. The sincerity and modesty of his message evoked warm reactions from netizens.

Traces of actress Go Youn-jung’s activity were also discovered. He reportedly used the username “tremble” and left a short self-introducing message reading “ㅋ Free forever ♡,” revealing a young and playful personality different from his current public image.

Go Youn, successful interview on Jung's anxiety

In addition to Kim Hye-yoon and Go Youn-jung, many other celebrities, including Hong Jin-kyung, Lee Sang-jun, and Jo Woo-jin, were also found to have left responses on the platform in the past. Many of the posts involved sincere responses to everyday concerns or shared small personal experiences, leading to positive public reactions that highlighted the celebrities’ genuine and authentic personalities.

However, the incident also raised concerns about privacy and personal data protection, as the posts were originally written anonymously and became accessible to the public without people’s consent. Although Naver promptly corrected the error, screenshots of the exposed content have already circulated widely online.
