On January 15th, a new video titled “Choose a random local restaurant tour (EN)” was uploaded to her YouTube channel Song Ji Hyo JIHYO SSONG. In the video, Song Ji Hyo goes on a spontaneous food tour after randomly selecting a business card prepared by the production staff.

During the trip, which unexpectedly took her to a restaurant in Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, Song Ji Hyo spoke about a difficult period in her life following the completion of a project.

“In the past, after finishing a project, I wouldn’t leave the house for about a week,” he recalled. “I stayed on the couch the whole time, only coming down to eat and then falling asleep in the same spot again.”

He explained that his routine consisted of eating brunch and late meals on the couch and sleeping there continuously. According to Song Ji Hyo, this behavior eventually provoked a strong reaction from her mother.

“At the time, I had just spent three or four months filming and I barely came home,” he said. “But I think my mother found it more upsetting to see me lying on the couch for an entire week.”

Song Ji Hyo continued, “One day, out of the blue, he yelled at me: ‘Hey! Get up right now and leave the house!'”

The actress admitted that the moment hurt her deeply. “That was the first time I cried out of pure resentment,” he said. “I broke down, asking myself, ‘Is it really so unbearable for you that I get some rest after working for months?’”

Despite her mother’s outburst, Song Ji Hyo said she ultimately didn’t leave the house. Looking back, she shared the story with calm honesty, giving viewers a glimpse into the emotional toll of her demanding career and the complex dynamics within her family.
