Danielle, who was recently fired from the girl group New Jeansshared an emotional letter he wrote to fans on the same day the group announced their reunion.
Posted on her personal Instagram on January 16, the letter was originally written on November 12, 2025, the same day that members Hyein and Haerin officially returned to their agency ADOR after a long internal discussion. That day, Minji, Hanni and Danielle also announced their intention to return through legal representatives. However, their paths soon diverged: Hanni joined ADOR, Minji remained in negotiations, and Danielle was eventually kicked out of the group and her exclusive contract was terminated.
In her letter, Danielle expressed her deep emotions, saying: “I am writing as we begin a new chapter, a quiet beginning that invites us to step forward together, when we are ready.” He added, “Letting go of everything we’ve been through won’t be easy, but for now I hope to put the past aside and focus on the days we’ll share in the future.”
Addressing her fans, Danielle wrote, “Thank you, bunnies, for your patience, support and warmth. Your kindness has carried me through heavy and uncertain times, giving me courage when I felt insecure. Your presence is a constant light and I have felt every little thing. I have missed you so much. Countless times I wanted to reach out. I couldn’t find words that fully captured my sincerity. I am so grateful to have such warm and reliable fans by my side. You have stood by us through difficult times, believing in us and waiting for us. To feel that way is a blessing that I never take lightly. Sometimes, I was sad not to be able to reciprocate all that love. It helped me endure the difficulties and, when I lost courage, you gave me the strength to get back up.
Danielle’s heartfelt message also included a tribute to her fellow members: “I know there may be questions and I don’t have all the answers right now. But there is one thing I can say for sure: my heart has not changed. Minji, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein will always be my home, my family. Whether our paths run close or silently alongside each other, the bond we share remains unshakable. It was built with love, respect and memories that will stay with us forever. We will always move forward while protecting each other.”
Although the letter was only made public after his removal from the group, it revealed the emotional depth of his connection with New Jeans and his hope for healing and understanding. “These days, when I feel put in a difficult situation, I try to find something good not only for myself, but for everyone I love. Difficult times are not ‘impossible’; they are simply moments that need a little more time. I will continue to move towards my dreams and do things that bring me true happiness.”
Danielle concluded her message by thanking her fans: “My beloved bunnies, I hope you live each day as if it were a new beginning. In today’s gift, I hope you find little joys, new courage and love. I look forward to the day when we meet again to share stories and simply be in each other’s presence. Thank you for staying. Thank you for trusting. Thank you for walking with me.”
ADOR officially announced in December 2025 that Danielle would no longer continue as New Jeans member or as an artist under the label. Hyein, Haerin and Hanni are back on ADOR, while Minji is still in negotiations.

After his departure, ADOR filed a KRW 43.1 billion (about $33 million) lawsuit against Danielle, one of his family members, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin for damages and breach of contract. Danielle is now fighting the legal battle with her own legal representation.
Danielle took to her Instagram and engaged directly with fans, even addressing the situation via livestream. In one of his messages, he stated: “My heart will always have space for New Jeans. Even though I’m in a different place now, I hope we can stay together as one family.” He concluded, “This is not the end. Whether it’s through music, silence or small moments shared, I want everything to be sincere and beautiful.”
