Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin’s budding romance in tvN’s new series “Spring fever” is gaining attention as a potential blockbuster hit. As of its third episode, the drama has already surpassed the 5% viewership mark, a significant milestone in Korean television ratings.
In the upcoming fourth episode airing on January 13, Seon Jae-gyu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun) reveals his jealousy as he secretly follows Yoon Bom (Lee Joo-bin) and Choi Yi-joon (Cha Seo-won), highlighting a developing love triangle that has captivated viewers.
Previously, Yoon Bom was relieved to learn that the rumor that Seon Jae-gyu was Seon Han-gyeol’s biological father was false. Showing a change in feelings, she invited Jae-gyu on a date herself. Their sweet interaction ended with Bom stating his question in a hushed tone “YES,” loosen up the audience and increase anticipation.
In episode 4, all eyes will be on the moment when the three protagonists find themselves in the same place. Bom is seen chatting warmly with Yi-joon, while Jae-gyu, clearly uncomfortable and jealous, hides and eavesdrops with a menu covering part of his face. His awkward spying adds humor and sparks curiosity about the reason for Bom and Yi-joon’s meeting.
Choi Yi-joon, Jae-gyu’s once close friend and now adversary, has returned after ten years with revenge on his mind. She is expected to move from Seoul to Shinsu-eup, adding complexity to the growing romantic tensions. His presence is bound to intensify the triangle, creating further suspense.

The episode will also show Jae-gyu’s “coach moment” as he prepares for the school’s big sports day with fierce determination. Meanwhile, her rivalry with Yi-joon promises to bring more dramatic twists to her relationship with Bom.
After debuting on January 5th with an excellent 4.8% rating, “Spring fever” has now reached 5.4% with its third episode, surpassing the symbolic 5% threshold that often separates average from exceptional dramas. The rapid rise suggests a bright future for this fresh and romantic series.
