On January 4, Ningning shared a series of photos on her Instagram along with the caption: “Thank you 2025 for making me stronger. Thank you for all the loveeeee.” The post contained snapshots of her time spent in 2025, both alone and with her fellow aespa members.
What really piqued curiosity, however, was a comment left by Annie from ALLDAY PROJECT. Under Ningning’s post, Annie wrote, “The kids say they miss you” a short but intriguing observation that quickly sparked speculation among fans. Some wondered if Annie was suggesting that the ALLDAY PROJECT members missed Ningning, suggesting a friendship between the two idols that many were unaware of.
Others have offered a different interpretation. Two large dogs appear in many of Ningning’s photos, which fans recognized as Annie’s pets. This led to another popular theory: that Annie’s comment simply referred to Ningning missing her dogs, rather than her fellow idols.
Regardless of the true meaning, the playful and ambiguous comment delighted fans and highlighted an unexpected bond between the two artists.
In the meantime, aespa continues to keep busy with a busy schedule. The group released its first single album Dirty work in June last year and took part in 2025 SMTOWN LIVE concert held at Tokyo Dome in August. Most recently, aespa returned with their sixth mini-album, promoting the title track Rich man and maintaining strong momentum in their businesses.
As for Annie’s comment, whether it was a sweet inside joke or a subtle nod to off-stage friendships, it definitely added an extra layer of charm and mystery to Ningning’s latest update.
