Rose and BLACKPINK’s Bruno Mars have confirmed that they are working on another collaboration, although they have not yet revealed a release date.
In the recent interview with Billboard released on December 11, 2025, the duo revealed that they have created other songs together in addition to their huge hit “APT.” When asked if they had worked on other songs that were not featured on Rose’s debut album “rosie” or if they had collaborated after the album’s release, Rose responded with a knowing laugh.
Bruno Mars later confirmed the news, saying, “Oh, yeah, there is. And we love that song we worked on — I won’t say the title… We’re just trying to figure out when or how.”
The original collaboration between Rose and Bruno Mars, “APT.”, was one of the biggest success stories of 2025. The collaboration for the smash hit “APT”. began in a Los Angeles studio in 2024, sparked by a simple Korean drinking game. During a session with producers and songwriters, Rosé taught the room her favorite game, “Apartment” (pronounced apateu), leading the group to spontaneously sing the now-famous chorus. Although Rosé was initially hesitant to release a song based on a drinking game, even asking her team to delete it from their phones, the track came to Bruno Mars when he pitched him three potential songs for a collaboration.
Released on October 18, 2024, as the lead single from Rose’s debut studio album “rosie”, the song achieved considerable commercial success. The song topped Apple Music’s 2025 year-end charts in multiple categories, including Top 100: Global 2025, Top 100: Shazam, Top 100: Radio Chart, and Top 100: Most Read Lyrics. Also he made history peaking at number nine on Billboard’s 2025 year-end Hot 100 chart, marking the first time a K-pop group has entered the top 10 of this prestigious chart.
“APT.” earned three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year, making Rose the first K-pop artist to receive nominations in the six major Grammy categories. The song also won Song of the Year at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, another first for a K-pop artist.
In addition to “APT.”, Bruno Mars also contributed to Rose’s solo track “Number One Girl” as co-writer and co-producer. During a phone call about another job, Rose said she was stuck on the song and Mars offered his creative input to help her complete it.
