They used a photo with 6 BTS members.
MBC was targeted by Behind the scenes fans after a recent episode of the popular variety show Where is my home? submitted a photo of the missing group member Sugar.
During the last episode, the hosts discussed Astrology‘S Cha Eunwoo AND Behind the scenes after one of the guest stars claimed to be friends with both of them.
However, when BTS was mentioned, a picture of the group was shown that included only six members, omitting Suga. The photo was taken by the group TO BE was, a period when Suga was on hiatus due to shoulder surgery.
Fans were quick to notice the omission and took to social media to express their dissatisfaction, sparking the hashtag #BTS_IS_7 on X (formerly known as Twitter). Many criticized MBC for using an incomplete image of BTS, noting that all seven members are equally important. They called on the network to issue a public apology for what they described as a disrespectful act toward Suga and the group.
At this time, MBC has not released any statement regarding the situation.
The I-ARMY and K-ARMY are united in our determination for BTS to always remain 7. We ask the Korean media to correct the misinformation on this issue. #ARMYStandsWithSuga #ARMYisOne #BTS_IS_7 photo.twitter.com/dRI8a0tJVP
