Korean Suspect Involved in Child Pornography Investigation Falls from Balcony, Dies

He allegedly threatened to upload illegal sexual content involving minors.

A man in his 30s, investigated for sexual exploitation of minors, died after falling from an eighth-floor balcony of an apartment in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.

According to the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency, the accident occurred late in the evening, around 11:00 p.m. on August 31.

The man (identified as Mr. A) was found by emergency responders in cardiac arrest when they arrived on the scene. Although he was rushed to the hospital, he was later pronounced dead.

Mr A was under investigation for allegedly threatening to upload illegal sexual content involving minors to social media platforms. He is said to have posted the content before quickly deleting it.

Police were immediately called to the scene, but Mr A remained on the balcony for approximately 10 minutes, at one point attempting to move to the balcony of a neighbouring apartment, before falling to his death, just before emergency crews could reach him.
