KATSEYE’s Megan and Yoonchae surprised fans by openly discussing the truth behind their alleged “beef,” revealing that the tension between them actually started long before their debut.
During a recent live stream, the two members chatted candidly with fans about their internship days and early stages Dream Academy. When the topic of their alleged conflict came up, the couple didn’t hesitate to address it.
According to Yoonchae, he often talked to Megan when the program started. However, Megan admitted that as the pressure increased, her attitude changed.
Megan has openly stated that she “it started to get a little too much”, taking responsibility for her behavior and explaining that she had been “very stressed.”
The conflict reportedly escalated before their debut, when the group was preparing “Debut.” Yoonchae recalled confronting Megan at one point:
Yoonchae: “She says, ‘Megan, can I talk to you?’ and I say “yes”. […] So she says, ‘Megan, are you mad at me?'”
Megan: “And I said ‘No’.”

Yoonchae: “She was like, ‘No, I’m just…just a little stressed.'”
Member Sophia ended up in the middle while Yoonchae also confided in her, which Megan admitted made her feel guilty afterward.
The two explained that their “beef” came in waves, but clarified that it never escalated into anything physical. Instead, they said the clashes actually helped them get closer.
Megan added that she was dealing with personal frustration at the time, causing little things Yoonchae had done to irritate her more than they should have. Thankfully, both members shared that they hadn’t had any issues “in a while” and stressed that the group now handles conflicts in a healthy way.
