Many argue that before rejoining the label, the two idols should issue a public apology to the groups LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT allegedly affected by the previous public statements made by NewJeans and their former representatives.
Numerous posts on the popular community forum Theqoo have expressed strong opinions on the topic. Netizens criticized the idea of Haerin and Hyein returning without responsibilities, writing:
“They definitely need to apologize to the two groups they publicly attacked, as well as the other idols and HYBE staff. I don’t understand why people say ‘HYBE should apologize’ in posts calling for Haerin and Hyein to apologize to LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT.
