Lee Seo Yeon, former member of girl group fromis_9, will make her solo debut under the hip-hop and R&B label H1GHR MUSIC this November.
The label officially announced the upcoming release of the star’s solo album and expressed full support for the future of his artistic activities. Lee Seo Yeon will launch her solo career under the stage name Y:SY after approximately 11 months of rest and preparation since leaving fromis_9’s previous agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, late last year.
H1GHR MUSIC revealed new logo and photos of Lee Seo Yeon, on display she with a chic and short hairstyle, aimed at presenting a fresh and mature image. This represents a new artistic direction for Lee, who has a background as the lead dancer and singer of fromis_9. During her time with the group, Lee Seo Yeon was recognized for her strong vocal skills, rapping skills, and dance performances. He also demonstrated his musical creativity by composing songs and managing concert stages.
Lee Seo Yeon’s decision to join H1GHR MUSIC aligns her with a label known for specializing in music based on genres such as hip-hop and R&B. Born on January 22, 2000 in Seoul and relieved in Incheon, Lee Seo Yeon started her training career early, joining YG Entertainment as a trainee at just 10 years old. She briefly appeared in GD&TOP’s music video “Knock Out” in 2011 and was part of YG’s pre-debut project “Future 2NE1” before leaving the company and entering Idol School in 2017. Finishing in seventh place, she debuted with fromis_9 in January 2018. Throughout her time in the group, she was known for her versatility, excelling in singing, dancing and rapping, and contributed in creative way by co-writing. songs like “My Night Routine” and “Starry Night”.
