The veteran actress Kim Mi-Kyung has opened her lasting affection for the actresses who played her daughters on the screen, sharing moving stories during her appearance on MBC ‘Radio Star’ September 24th. The episode was a special “K-Mom” edition.
When asked if he had favorite daughters on the screen, Kim Mi-Kyung replied, “There are friends who still keep in touch after filming. I spoke with Lim Soo-Hyang a few times, but those I am very close, like the real mother and daughter, are Jang Na-Ra and Kim Tae-Hee.”
Kim Mi-Kyung acted as Jang Na-Ra’s mother in A couple returns and Kim Tae-Hee in Hello hello, mom!. He explained, “The stories of those dramas were so profound and emotional that our bond has become even stronger. I know it must have been difficult for them to approach a senior actress with such a difference in age, but they are really adorable.”
By adding humor, Kim Mi-Kyung said “Some actresses are not invited to my house. Even when they are not at home, they come and receive meals with my daughter.”
He also shared his long-standing link with Park Min-Young, having played mother and daughter in five different dramas. He proudly remembered, “In the fifth project, Park Min-Young sent me a message saying:” Mom, maybe we are destined to be together. “”
Reflecting on the loss of his mother last year, Kim Mi-Kyung said “I did not send notices about the passage, but so many people came to offer their condolences after the appearance of the news. Most of my dramatic daughters also arrived, which was a huge comfort.”
The co-protagonist Lim Soo-Hyang was surprised when mentioned, saying, “I really didn’t know.”
