Nam-Gyu, introduced in season 2 as a minor antagonist, returns as a bad bad guy in season 3, in particular alongside Thanos, played by Choi Seung-Hyun (at the top). Noh admitted that he was initially worried that his character would vanish in the background, affirming: “I just didn’t want to be next to Thanos. I wanted Nam-Gyu to have a reason, a purpose.“
According to the actor, he worked closely with the director to find a balance, share, The director told me not to go to the top too early. Nam-gyu becomes more unbridled after Thanos dies, so I had to control the energy until the right time.
When he was asked of his representation of a state intoxicated to drugs, Noh Jae-Won revealed: “I did not use any reference from other works because the context was so specific. Instead, I exploited the sensations. Which is like the itching that you cannot shake off or the type of restlessness you feel with the posthums of a hangover.“
He also added his talent to the character, including his now viral scene of “Thanos Impersonation”. “It was not in the script. But when I saw Nam-Gyu start using English and saying something like “we kill half of humans”, did I think “why not go full Thanks?” I did it during the rehearsals and the director said he kept inside“, The actor shared.
Noh also spoke a lot about his co-protagonist Choi Seung-hyun (up), stating, He really gave everything in his performance. Looking at it made me more concentrated. I think Thanos has helped to model Nam-Gyu in what it is.
When he was asked about the past disputes of his co-protagonist or fame k-pop, Noh shook his shoulders, I didn’t think of him as a member of Bigbang. I saw him like Thanos, and this helped my dive.
From roles in “DP 2” AND “Daily dose of sunshine”TO “A normal family” AND “A killer paradox”Noh’s Knack to make the characters feel alive made him one of the most observed actors on Korean Netflix. When he was asked to be labeled “Netflix’s son”, he laughed, saying, saying There are many Netflix actors out there. I will work hard to be the first child.
Despite the praise, Noh remains rooted, sharing, Sometimes I think: “I am noticed too quickly?” I had moments of anxiety. But I remember staying focused at work, not on compliments.
Known for gritty and complex characters, Noh now has his eyes on romanticism: I have never played someone who loves freely. I’d like to explore it one day. As for where you can see in a decade, the actor replied, I don’t know how I will be in 10 years, but at this moment I’m doing what I love. My goal does not concern a specific state, because I just want to continue improving as an actor.

He also added while laughing, “The biggest change is that my father is proud of me. He saw a lot of my work, but he liked this very much. In our family chat, they even joked, saying “the director Hwang Dong-Hyuk is Steven Spielberg of Korea” and “your acting was fantastic, even if we are a little worried that you have a little Nam-Gyu inside you”.“
