At the press conference for the new drama of the TVn weekend “Our unwritten seoul” Held on May 21 at the CGV Yeongdeungpo, Soul, said director Park Shin-Woo “I thought more about wanting to do well” But he added warmly “They are all my children, so I love them all”, referring to “When the gossip stars”.
Following “When the gossip stars”Park returns with his new job “Our unwritten seoul”. His previous drama has faced a strong public backlash due to his disappointing quality compared to his astronomical budget. Above all, he attracted the Flak for his useless bed scenes and, despite interpreting the plants of Lee Min-Ho and Gong Hyo-Jin spectators, suffered the lowest evaluations among their careers.
Park reflected, “This time I thought much of doing better. But when the time has come to choose a project, they are someone who does not know what is better or what there will be. So I decided to achieve what I wanted to do. They are all my children. I accept them all as completely mine. I felt happy to have made a connection with them.”
He continued, “With that mentality, I tried to reduce the pressure. I didn’t want to bring any persistent regrets in the next project. I asked myself:” I want to do it? “And I chose it because I really did it.”
Park also shared his thoughts on the premiere of the new drama, “It is something that I really want to show everyone, but I also want to delay it until the last moment. Among all the works I did, this is the one in which I leaned the most about the others. The writer with whom I worked was fantastic, and the staff did a fantastic job. The cast, including the three protagonists, gave the performances they gave to anyone who made themselves at hand.
“Our unwritten seoul” It is a romantic maturity drama on the twin sisters of opposite personality that exchange life for some reasons and lead completely different lives through a lie. The script is written by Lee Kang, known for the touching drama “Youth of May”and directed by Park Shin-Woo, whose past works include “Encounter”, “Okay not feeling good” AND “When the gossip stars”.
