The leader of Exo Suho rose on stage as MC for the back showcase of Kai’s soloist, bringing sincere laughter and moments to the event.
On April 21, Kai held a media showcase at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-Gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of his fourth mini-album, wait for me.
Suho jokes about Kai’s Returba Showcase’s hosting
Suho, who hosted the event, showed up saying: “I am Suho, leader of Exo” and he praised Kai warmly, adding: “This is the hottest showcase around. I heard that he conquered everything from YouTube to varieties shows”.
In response, Kai expressed his gratitude: “Thanks to Suho Hyung for hosting today. It means a lot that it is here to support me in my return”. Suho shared that it was a gesture of returning the favor, “when I was discharged and released my first album in two years, Kai hosted my showcase. I have not forgotten, so here I am.”
Suho brought humor to the showcase with his witty observations, saying: “I thought to be an MC would be easy, but I should have prepared me more. I should have looked at the members of the Super Junior Senior, maybe I would have done better”.
He continued to joke: “Since this is the long -awaited return of Kai, even the CEO of MS is here. I don’t think Mc will be allowed again after today. Nobody will call me to accommodate beginner debuts. Honestly, it’s a little relief.” He concluded with humility, saying: “I have nothing else to offer what an apology”.
The long -awaited return of Kai
This marks Kai’s first album in almost two years, after its 2023 mini-album rover. The Wait on me titles track is a pop song that incorporates the Afrobeats rhythms, combining percussion grooves contained with tension construction synth strings. The track explores the beauty of the emotions that slowly reveal, with choreography that directly expresses the word “wait”, as well as a powerful dance break.
The album includes the pre-adults for adults SWIM, known for its relaxed and refreshing atmosphere, together with walls Don’t Don’t Talk, Pressure, Ridin ‘, Off and Away and Flight for Paris. These songs capture Kai’s emotional growth and maturity after a long waiting period.
