Forty-nine days after the death of the actress Kim Sae-S, the controversy that surrounds her and actor Kim Soo-Hyun shows no sign of resolution. Although Kim Soo-Hyun held a press conference in tears on March 31st, with the aim of clarifying his position, the public backlash has only intensified. The accusations that surround their alleged minor report, the pressure and legal tensions of “700 million have won alerts” with the family of Kim Sae-Se-Se-So and the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute continue to dominate the titles.
Discrepancies in the temporal sequence of relationships
One of the most debated issues is the length and the times of their alleged relationship. According to reports, Kim Sae-Sign said he left Kim Soo-Hyun for six years, starting from the age of 15. Kim Soo-Hyun, however, claims that the relationship lasted only about a year and started when Kim Sae-Se-Sen was in the legal age for adults.
To counter the accusations, the part of Kim Soo-Hyun referred to the forensic analysis conducted by the Private Trubaum institution, which said that the 2016 and 2018 messages were probably written by different people, while the messages of 2018 and 2025 (provided by Kim Soo-Hyun) probably combined the writing style of Kim Soo-Hyun.
Although the temporal sequence of 2015-2021 reports is contested, Kim Sae-Sign has left various declarations and messages written to close contacts by stating a report from 5 to six years, that his family and his acquaintances echoed in the testimonies.
Disputes on legal notices
Kim Sae-S’s family initially stated that two official warnings of the Kim Soo-Hyun Gold Medal Agency preheated pressure on the actress and contributed to his emotional discomfort before his death. The agency clarified that the notices were simply procedural and aim to resolve the suspended financial obligations, including a debt won 700 million.
Although the family subsequently softened their claim from “legal intimidation” to emotional unease, the texts of Kim Sae-Sore indicate that he felt desperate and deceived, stating a message to a friend:
“I have nothing, basically they tell me to kill me.”
A month after receiving the notices, according to what was reported, self -harm, as highlighted by the dissemination of the family of a photo during a press conference in March.

Kim Soo-Hyun’s press conference has failed to influence public feeling. While it seemed emotional, many criticized the event as excessively shiny and focused. His attempt to defend his image proved to be selfish rather than empathic to the deceased actress or his family in mourning.
The criticisms have extended to the way the press conference was presented. The post-event declaration of the gold medal, complete with audio recordings and legal citations, made it seem excessively strategic, further alienating the trust of the public.
