With his expected return on March 21, Kai of Exo is opening up on his creative involvement in his fourth mini-album, “Wait to me.” Appearing in the episode of April 1 of YouTube Show “Salon drip” Hosted by Jang Do-Yeon, Kai offered rare intuitions behind the scenes, together with a little humor, on the pressure and the wrong ideas on the production of albums.
When asked if he had a direct voice in the new album, Kai replied, “Since it was a long wait, I deeply thought about what the fans would like. I like my versatile sides – sexy, fresh and more – so I tried to incorporate different concepts.”
He added that even the single pre-report, which has a totally different atmosphere from the track of the main title, was his idea, “I even pushed strong for the single pre-report.”
When Jang Do-Yeon joked about what would have happened if fans did not like the new music and presumed that SM was behind it, admitted Kai, admitted, “Actually it happens a lot. People blamed SM, but sometimes it was my call …”
