Girl Group Fromis_9 performed their final phase together as a group in the airing of January 29 of the MBC Gayo Daejejeon Awards of 2024.
The group of eight members performed their “Supersonic” hit, a single inspired by the electronic dance published in 2024.
The performance went without hitches, but the member Baek Ji Heon was spotted to tear during the closing phase, with the tears that made her robes while covering her mouth. Others seemed quite emotional, including Lee Chae Young, who removed his face from the camera.
The group announced that it has officially finished their exclusive contract with Pleis Entertainment at the end of 2024, without renewal plans.
After seven years together, the girls revealed that only five – Song has Young, Park Ji Won, Lee Na Gyung, Lee Chae Young and Baek Ji Heon – will remain to pursue group activities together, under a new Asnd agency.
It is not yet clear whether the new group will continue to use the name from IIS_9.
Three members – Lee Sa Rom, Lee Seo Yeon and Roh Ji Sun – have moved away from the group, opting instead to pursue individual careers.
“Asnd would like to express our most sincere gratitude for (our) artists who showed great courage and have decided to join us,” said the company News1.
“We promise to give them generous support and encouragement so that they can pursue their dreams in the future”.
