Rapper BM will make his acting debut as a new character in Netflix Beef Season 2.

Big Matthew, known by his stage name BM, joins actors Seoyeon Jang (Butterfly), William Fichtner (Mom, the Talamasca) and Mikaela Hoover (Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) as part of the renewal cast of Beefas reported by Expiration.

The quartet completes the entire Season 2 lineup, featuring an impressive lineup of previously announced stars, including Charles Melton, Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Cailee Spaeny, Youn Yuh-jung and Song Kang-Ho.

The hit Netflix show, the brainchild of director Lee Sung Jin and studio A24, followed two strangers Danny and Amy, whose anger incident traps them in their personal lives.

Born in America, BM is known as the leader of the mixed K-Pop group KARD, with the rapper embarking on a solo career in June 2021 with his single “Broken Me”.

After telling the fate of Amy and Danny, the next chapter will follow a new couple (Spaeny, Melton) who will witness an alarming fight between their boss (Isaac) and his wife (Mulligan).

The feud causes further escalation of favor and coercion, revealing the behind-the-scenes world of a country club’s elite and the affairs of its Korean billionaire owner.

While character profiles and details are currently being kept under wraps, BM is said to play a former tennis pro who runs the tennis shop at the country club.

His peer Jang is said to play the billionaire owner’s personal translator, while Fichtner is believed to play a country club member, with Hoover as the trophy wife.

The first season of Beefstarring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, it premiered in 2023 at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin and soon after took the awards season by storm, earning three Golden Globes, eight Emmys, four Critics Choice Trophies, two Gotham Awards, two Film Independents Spirit Awards, two SAG Awards. and PGA, WGA and AFI recognition.

Similar to the original season, the second season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes with Lee Sung Jin returning as the show’s executive producer and showrunner.
