Although many fans were really excited about Jennie’s solo announcement, it led to a lot of backlash towards YG Entertainment. When members left the company for solo activities, YG became the focus of criticism as each member began announcing their own promotions and plans.
After Jennie’s album announcement, netizens shared their anger towards YG for many reasons. Some pointed out that YG was holding them back as the members have released more solo songs in total than BLACKPINK’s entire discography since their 2016 debut.
