BTOB Sungjae, Day6 Dowoon, more!

By early 2025, millennials born in 1995 will reach their 30s. Among male idols, these third-generation K-pop stars—who are the maknaes, or the youngest in their respective groups—will soon reach this milestone, tugging at the heartstrings of fans who have lovingly watched these idols’ journeys unfold from their youth to stardom.

Here are the 7 maknae born in ’95 who will turn 30 in 2025:

NU’EST Ren train

Ren originally debuted as a member of the boy group NU’EST in 2012, when he was 16 years old.

When the group disbanded in 2022, he focused on his solo career until he joined the military in September last year.

BTOB’s Sungjae

In 2012, the idol debuted as BTOB’s maknae when he was also 16 years old.

He is adored by the team and Melodys (fans) for his vibrant and hilarious personality. On May 2nd it will celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Dowoon of Day6

Day6 initially debuted in 2013 under the name 5LIVE, but was changed to Day6 when Dowoon was added as a sixth member and drummer in 2015 when he was 20 years old.

Currently, the band announces the continuation of Day6’s world tour, FOREVER YOUNGin the month of February.

Changjo from Teen Top

In 2010, Changjo made his debut in the second generation boy group Teen Top when he was only 14 years old. Although the remaining members after L.Joe and CAP left the team and moved to different labels, the quartet testified to fans that they would not disband.

The boyfriend is not Minwoo

Originally known as BOYFRIEND in 2011, the team disbanded in 2019.

In 2021, the group debuted again under their new stage name BF, with No Minwoo also as the maknae.

She initially debuted when she was 15 and will turn 30 on July 31.

Yano from the former Topp Dogg/Xeno-T

In 2013, Yano was first promoted under his group Topp Dogg until they reformed and became XENO-T in 2018. Unfortunately, they disbanded two years after the name change.

Suwoong from Republic Boys

In 2013, Suwoong debuted as a member of Universal Music’s first idol group managed by Happy Tribe Entertainment. But after five years of promotion, the band decided to take an indefinite break even though they haven’t broken up yet.
