The 39th Golden Disc Awards (GDA) will take place on January 4-5, 2025 at the Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan. The event is hosted by Sung Si-kyung, Cha Eun-woo and Moon Ga-young. Due to the recent Jeju Air plane crash, the red carpet photo event was canceled and the live broadcast was delayed until January 6th.
Several winners were announced on the first day of the awards ceremony, January 4. Among the 10 groups and solo singers who won the Digital Bonsang, aespa successfully won the Daesang trophy.
Additionally, ILLIT and TWS won Rookie of the Year, while KISS OF LIFE was awarded Next Generation.
The 39th Golden Disc Awards will continue with the second day on the 5th with fans waiting for the beautiful stages and the announcement of the winner of Album Daesang.
