It has been confirmed Choi Minhwan of FTISLAND went to adult entertainment establishments.
According to the results of the police investigation on December 20, he was acquitted of the charges due to insufficient evidence.
In July 2022, Choi was accused of contacting Mr. A, an employee of an adult entertainment venue in Seoul, and paying for and prostituting himself with an unknown woman.
Police investigating the case revealed that he had used words such as “TC” and “Miss”, which were considered terms used in some establishments, and established that he was trying to go to an adult institution.
During his statement, he stated, “I contacted Mr. A and often frequented adult clubs, but I never practiced prostitution. I don’t remember if I went to the adult clubs mentioned.”
Mr. A also added: “It was a conversation about going to an adult entertainment establishment and not a prostitution establishment.”
With this, the police concluded that the prostitution charges could not be recognized solely from the recordings of Choi and Mr. A, as there was no other evidence to refute the statements.
Choi’s ex-wife, Yulheewho reported the dispute, refused to be investigated and did not submit the original recording file. Police also decided not to prosecute Choi for sexual assault charges against Yulhee due to insufficient evidence.
Meanwhile, Choi posted a message for fans on Weverse it should be underlined that he was not involved in prostitution.
