The list, which draws data from year-end Boxscore rankings, excludes statistics from any overseas activity, including numerous tour stops and extensions in Asia and beyond.
The 13-member group easily outpaced all other contestants, grossing a shocking $98.4 million, just shy of a whopping nine figures.
The tour’s exploits featured more than 865,000 fans and only 24 shows, averaging approximately $4.1 million per show.
HYBE’s ENHYPEN has also had a monster year, considering how fresh the boy group has been since their debut in 2020. The septet grossed an impressive $63 million, with 36 shows and 407,000 tickets sold.
The remaining top spots in the ranking, in third and fourth place, were also occupied by male groups TXT and ATEEZ, who grossed $58.1 million and $37.6 million respectively.
The highest-grossing girl group of the year was JYP Entertainment’s TWICE, which grossed $24.2 million over the course of just five shows, beating SEVENTEEN’s average of $4.84 million per show and the huge number of 220,000 fans present. If the group had decided to embark on a bolder venture in the United States, it would have been a woman’s world after all.
Equally impressive is IU’s track record of selling out venues, especially as the only solo artist on the list, coming in at No. 6 with $16.6 million across a modest eight shows.
The remaining spots on the list are filled out with IVE in seventh ($10.8 million), NCT Dream in eighth ($7.8 million), (G) I-DLE in ninth ($6.7 million ) and iTZY in tenth ($6 million).
Fans may notice that mega groups BLACKPINK and BTS are off cycle, with the girl group members pursuing solo endeavors while various BTS members are in the midst of completing mandatory military service.
The two groups, a force to be reckoned with on their own strength, were previously ranked among the magazine’s ten highest-grossing tours, regardless of genre.
