On December 15, NewJeans members posted 4 posts and 12 stories in the morning alone.
Through the posts, members shared photos of their daily lives, and member Minji gained attention by writing in the caption, “I was just waiting for this day.”
In the stories, Hanni recorded playful moments, including photos and videos taken on board the plane. He also asked, “Can the Bunnies (the fandom) handle our Instagram?”
Previously, on December 14, NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein opened an Instagram account called “jeanzforfree”.
At the time, members introduced themselves through stories, saying: “We’re real” and said they had pre-ordered drinks and meals for bunnies attending a demonstration in Yeouido that day, telling them to “make sure you eat well.“
Meanwhile, NewJeans held an emergency press conference on the 28th of last month to announce the termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR. Following this, ADOR filed a lawsuit on the 3rd to confirm the validity of the exclusivity contract.
Despite their split from ADOR, NewJeans continued with their scheduled activities, including guest appearances at Japanese duo YOASOBI’s concert on the 7th, but no longer referred to themselves as ‘NewJeans’ after the announcement.
