One person who helped KATSEYE is BTS’ performance director Son Sung Deuk.
It appeared during the Netflix documentary series Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE.
Recently, KATSEYE performed at MAMA Awards 2024 in Los Angeles.
On December 10, behind-the-scenes footage of the show was released. At one point, Yoonchae was trying to find the most effective way to take off his varsity jacket and Son Sung Deuk was watching. He apparently struggled to get it off in the allotted time.
Son Sung Deuk then tried to help Yoonchae find ways to do it faster, thinking aloud of ways that could make it easier.
Then he also looked carefully at the envelopes to see if changes could be made, relaying the information to the staff but keeping Yoonchae involved.
When the video was released, netizens appreciated how Son Sung Deuk seemed like a “father” figure to Yoonchae, similar to how he treated BTS. Many also added that with him helping the group in their performances, it is no surprise that they always have the best ideas and rock the stage.
