ACE‘S Donghoon he will temporarily withdraw from the group’s activities due to health problems. On December 11th his agency BEAT Interactive shared an official statement on the group’s X account (formerly known as Twitter) confirming that Donghoon has been diagnosed with acute cholecystitis and requires surgery.
The agency revealed that Donghoon had persistent digestive problems, which led him to seek medical advice. When his symptoms did not improve, further tests were conducted which identified the condition as acute cholecystitis. Doctors recommended immediate surgery, followed by sufficient rest and recovery time.
As a result, Donghoon will be unable to participate in several upcoming group activities. BEAT Interactive stressed their attention to his well-being, saying they consulted extensively with both Donghoon and medical professionals to determine his ability to fulfill commitments prior to the surgery. While some programs will proceed as planned, changes have been made to prioritize his recovery.
BEAT Interactive has apologized for the sudden announcement and any inconvenience it may cause. The agency also expressed gratitude for fans’ understanding and support, assuring them that Donghoon’s health remains their top priority. They promised to provide him with the necessary care to ensure a smooth recovery.
