Xdinary Heroes (also known as “XH”) is a 6-member South Korean rock band under JYP Entertainment’s sub-label, Studio J. All members participate in writing, composing and producing, making the band’s music a personal experience and unique experience.
The band’s name, “Xdinary Heroes”, is the shortened form of “Extraordinary Heroes”, reflecting the meaning of “anyone can become a hero”.
According to the members, Xdinary Heroes’ music is a “melting pot of genres”, with an emphasis on rock, metal, pop punk, alternative and emo. Meanwhile, JYP founder JYPark believes the band’s songs are good to listen to on days when you feel like you’re not special at work.
The group’s fandom name is “Villians”, signifying that just as heroes and villains coexist, Xdinary Heroes and fans complement each other.

Career
In July 2021, JYP Entertainment applied for trademark rights to the name “Xdinary Heroes”, before officially releasing the first teaser for the boy band in October of the same year. In November, the agency opened SNS accounts for Xdinary Heroes and confirmed the band’s name.
From November 15th to November 20th, each member of Xdinary Heroes was introduced, with Jooyeon the first to be revealed and Gunil the last. Performance videos of the members’ positions were later released.
The group finally made their debut on December 6, 2021 with their first digital single, “Happy Death Day”, before making their first comeback on July 20 with their first mini album, “Hello, World!”.
The fandom name, Villains, was announced on September 15, 2022. The boy band was supposed to release their second mini album on November 4, but ended up postponing the release due to the Itaewon crowd’s crush on Halloween.
