Huening Kai may be the youngest member of Tomorrow X Together (TXT), but the maknae refuses to fall behind the other members of his group.

In a message from fans on Tuesday, the 22-year-old singer announced plans for a solo debut, following in the footsteps of TXT frontman Yeonjun.

The video, shared by X user HNKMedia, revealed that the singer was struggling to reach the lofty goal for 2025.

Yeonjun, the only member of TXT so far to make a solo debut, rose to fame with the single “GGUM” in September. She also collaborated with girl group KATSEYE on a remix of their hit song “Touch,” released in October.

“TXT’s Yeonjun wrote his verses for this new film. His lyrics add a unique touch to the overall vibe of the song. We hope you enjoy this special remake,” KATSEYE said in a statement on Weverse.

Huening Kai, also known for having a powerful pen, has writing credits on many TXT songs, including “Roller Coaster”, “Blue Spring” and “Maze In The Mirror”.

TXT have released their latest project, their seventh mini-album The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY, and its lead single “Over the Moon,” as a full group in November.
