New Jeans‘ Haerin commented on the reported fee for early termination of the contract following the announcement of departure I LOVE IT.
Amid NewJeans’ feud with HYBE, reports shared the fee they would have to pay if they terminated their contract.
NewJeans’ early contract termination fee is estimated to be at least KRW 300 billion
On November 28, NewJeans held an emergency press conference about their contracts with ADOR.
The members revealed that they would officially leave ADOR.
NewJeans officially leaves ADOR for “a very simple reason”
Naturally the topic of sanctions came up and Haerin acknowledged that he had seen the articles and reports about the amount of money they would have to pay.
He explained, “I have read several articles about sanctions, but we have not violated our exclusive contract. We have worked hard and done our best so far, so we believe there is no reason to pay penalties.”
Haerin then added that in her opinion HYBE and ADOR violated their contract and that they should take responsibility, arguing that the companies should pay the fee rather than the group.
We have never violated the exclusivity contract and to date we have done our best to promote our activities, so I don’t think there is any reason to have to pay a penalty, on the contrary, because it is the current one Adore and Hive have violated the contract, now we find ourselves in this situation. A situation has arisen and obviously Adore and Hive are responsible… pic.twitter.com/Cw6lycG2cp
