The president of the Philippines received an assassination threat from the country’s vice president.
On Saturday, November 23, it was reported that V.P Sara Duterte declared that he would have the president of the country, Ferdinand Marcos Jr.murdered if she had been killed. During a morning press conference, Duterte shared that he spoke with an assassin who he had ordered to kill Marcos, his wife and the Speaker of the House.
I spoke to a person. I said, “if I get killed, go kill BBM (Marcos), (first lady) Liza Araneta and (speaker) Martin Romualdez.” It’s not a joke. It’s not a joke. I said, “Don’t stop until you kill them,” and then he said yes.

Second CNNthis claim is linked to a feud between the two elected officials over various policies, including the war on drugs and foreign policy. The president and vice president are elected separately in the Philippines, but the two officials showed no signs of conflict until earlier this year.
Eduardo Anothe national security advisor, said the government considers all threats to the president “serious.” In direct response to Duterte’s statement, Marcos’ security command shared that it has strengthened its defense protocols and that the national police chief has ordered an investigation.
Previously, Duterte told reporters that his relationship with Marcos was so “toxic” that he sometimes imagined beheading him.
