On November 22, KST, G-Dragon released his latest song, “Home Sweet Home,” featuring his BIG BANG bandmates Taeyang AND Daesung. The song is addressed to fans who have been patiently waiting for his return to music.
The track was released without much prior promotion. On November 21, KST, G-Dragon surprised fans with a post hinting at the new music release. It only contained an image of three piano keys, hinting at BIGBANG’s return.
This song marked G-Dragon’s first release on Friday at 2pm, the new standardized release time for K-Pop songs. While the Friday versions help improve the performances of the songs American billboard charts, puts them at a disadvantage for Korean music charts.
Despite this setback, “Home Sweet Home” managed to easily penetrate the Melon Top 100 graphic. The song rose to third place shortly after its release, reflecting the public’s continued interest in G-Dragon and BIGBANG’s music.
Needless to say, people were blown away by how the song performed on the charts, only solidifying G-Dragon’s position as an outstanding K-Pop powerhouse.
