BIGHIT MUSIC have released a statement announcing TXT member Soobin’s temporary hiatus.
On November 19, the agency announced on fan platform Weverse that Soobin would be going on a temporary hiatus. BIGHIT MUSIC then shared that Soobin had exhibited “signs of illness” and was sent to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to medical staff, Soobin has been advised to take time to rest and recover. After discussing TXT’s activities with the rest of the members, it was concluded that Soobin would prioritize his recovery.
As a result, Soobin would not be able to attend multiple scheduled events, such as the 2024 MAMA Awards, the group’s “ACT: PROMISE” Encore Show in Japan, fan meetings, and other year-end ceremonies.
“We would like to apologize to our fans and ask for your generous understanding,” the agency added.
BIGHIT MUSIC went on to say that Soobin will do his best to rest and get back to good health to the fans. The company also assured that Soobin will receive support from BIGHIT in his recovery.
Here’s how the MOA reacted to the news:
- “Take all the time you need, Soobin. Your health is more important. We love you so much.”
- “Take care of them, their health is everything. Please don’t let them suffer.”
- “You deserve this long-term rest after this stressful time with the comeback and concerts. Please don’t work too hard.”
