Yoon Eun Hye opens up about post-fame struggles: ‘Confronting yourself on SNS was difficult’

Recently, Yoon Eun Hye uploaded a video titled “When negative thoughts weigh me down” on his YouTube channel, where he took the time to respond to subscribers’ concerns. It particularly resonated with one fan who shared, “I feel distressed because I keep comparing myself to others every time I look at social media.”

Yoon Eun Hye admitted, “I’m not completely exempt from this either.” as she reflected on her past when she was often invited to global fashion shows. He confessed “When I see other people’s glamorous lives on SNS, I sometimes think, ‘I used to hang out with those brands too,’ or ‘I used to be like that.’” He added, “When these thoughts come, I feel small and like I no longer have influence, which has made me feel depressed.”

However, he revealed that he has overcome those feelings and has developed a new outlook on life. “At some point, I decided not to dwell on past glory,” he said. “There are still many things to be grateful for in my current life, and I have learned to feel a sense of peace and love myself in ways I couldn’t before.”

Yoon Eun Hye also attracted attention by revealing that she hasn’t purchased any luxury goods in the past 10 years. “I don’t think I’ve purchased any luxury or expensive items in the last ten years,” he shared, adding, “This doesn’t make me any less happy or confident. For some people, luxury items may represent happiness, but buying things just to compare them to others is not the answer.”

He continued with warm advice: “Everyone lives at a different pace and in their own way, so it’s important to focus on yourself. Instead of comparing, I hope people take time to find things in their lives to be grateful for.”

Yoon Eun Hye first rose to fame as a member of first-generation idol group Baby VOX and later became a top star through hit dramas like Princess Hours AND Prince of coffee. Now he continues to actively communicate with the public via YouTube and variety shows.
