On the October 12 episode of SBS Running ManYoo Jae-suk spoke out about concerns and speculation about Ji Ye-eun, who is currently taking a break from the show due to health issues.
Previously, it was reported that Ji Ye-eun had been feeling unwell, and after visiting the hospital, doctors advised him to rest. It is now expected to be on hiatus for over three weeks.
During the broadcast, Yoo Jae-suk explained, “Some people think her hiatus is due to burnout because Ye-eun already talked about it once. But that’s not the case at all.”
Fellow cast member Haha chimed in, saying: “Ye-eun is someone who really gives her all during filming. She is always full of passion.”
Yoo Jae-suk further clarified, “She is currently receiving treatment. Her medical checkup showed that she needed to take care of something, so she is now resting. I spoke to her on the phone and she said she feels much better.”
He assured viewers that once he completes the treatment, he will be back to good health.
Meanwhile, this episode of Running Man hosted a special “Middle Class World” competition and welcomed first-time guests Byun Yo-han, Kim Kang-woo, Bang Hyo-rin and Yang Se-jong. All four expressed excitement about filming their first episode of the show.
