TREASURE will undergo some changes in the group’s structure next year.
On December 2nd, YG entertainment shared a video with Yang Hyun Suk titled “TREASURE NEWS AND YG 2025 PLAN”. In the video, Yang discussed the idols’ future plans and activities under the label, including TREASURE, which were specifically featured in the title.
Yang was asked about TREASURE’s new music for the first time, saying that the group would showcase a different concept than previous releases.
He then mentioned that there will be a dynamic change in the current leadership structure of the group.
Currently, Jihoon AND Hyunsuk they are the leaders of the group and since their debut after a pre-debut system they have shown great success.
Yang says it has been suggested that the group start changing leaders every two to three years and that starting January 1, Kim Junkyu and Asahi will be the group’s new leaders.
Many fans welcomed the news with open arms, thanking the two current leaders for their hard work and anticipating the group’s next activities.
Others, while still supportive, admitted that the change was bittersweet.
