In his letter, Yeo Jin Goo expressed a mix of gratitude, excitement, and sadness as he prepares for his new chapter. “In my heart there is a mixture of gratitude, anticipation and a little regret. The time is coming for me to move away from you briefly and start a new experience.” he wrote. “Meeting you all face to face, making eye contact and laughing together during this tour of Asia before my enlistment has become a treasured memory that I will never forget.”
The actor went on to sincerely thank his fans and shared a heartfelt promise: “While we will be apart for a while, I will return a stronger and more mature person. I promise to return healthier, both physically and mentally, and with deeper acting skills to stand before you once again.”
He also encouraged fans to take care of themselves: “Please stay healthy, eat well and live happily during this time. Don’t be too sad: you still have 30 dramas, variety shows and 20 movies with ‘Yeo Jin Goo’ to revisit whenever you miss me. I would appreciate it if you would watch them while you wait. When we meet again, I will come back with an even better version of myself.”
Born in 1997, Yeo Jin Goo, now 28 years old, made his debut in the 2005 film Sad movie. Prior to his enlistment, he met with fans across Asia, including Jakarta, Tokyo, Osaka, Chengdu, Shanghai and Taipei, and will conclude his tour with a final fan meeting in Seoul at the Sky Art Hall on November 1.
