On MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama MotelCaliforniaaired its first episode on January 10, Ji Kang-hee (Lee Se-young) is seen leaving MotelCalifornia. At Ji Kang-hee’s call, Cheon Yeon-su (Na In-woo) rushes to her side. When he asks about the teddy bear, Ji Kang-hee explains, “It’s a birthday present for Chun-pil. Isn’t that ridiculous? While talking about college, Ji Kang-hee asks, “Yeon-su, will you sleep with me?” and adds: “You think about me all the time. It’s natural, right? It’s you and me.”

Cheon Yeon-su replies, “I don’t want to join your rebellion,” but Ji Kang-hee explains, “It’s not rebellion or curiosity. The first time is always the purest.” Then she kisses him. When Ji Kang-hee asks, “Do you want to stop?”, Cheon Yeon-su hesitates and asks, “Will you stay if we sleep together?”
Without hesitation, Ji Kang-hee replies, “I’ll leave. I’ll go somewhere where no one knows I’m different,” to which Cheon Yeon-su looks at her lovingly and says, “What’s different? You just seem cute to me.” Ji Kang-hee repeats, “Yeon-su, will you sleep with me?” and the two spend their first night together.
