In the video, the robot girl “Young-hee”, iconic for her role in the game “Red Light, Green Light” from “Squid Game” seasons 1 and 2, can be seen being moved somewhere and meeting a boy robot – Chul -so.
Chul-soo’s appearance resembles that of Young-hee, featuring chubby cheeks and a hat, creating a childlike image. Shortly after Chul-soo’s appearance, the teaser shows a traffic light turning green, sparking speculation about a traffic light-related game in “Squid Game 3.”
Furthermore, when Netflix Korea posted a video titled “Squid Game Season 3 2025 Release” on YouTube, it wrote in the following description: “Watch ‘Squid Game’ on Netflix June 27.“The video is currently set to private.
Previously, director Hwang Dong-hyeok said in an interview with American media Variety that the third season of “Squid Game” is expected to be released next summer or autumn, so many believe that June 27 is the release date official.
Additionally, speculation quickly surfaced about the deadly games that will be featured in “Squid Game 3.”
In particular, based on the appearance of Young-hee and Chul-soo, some think that the games “Jack and Jill” (where players must hold a bucket of water while running up a hill) and “Dong, Dong, Dongdaemun ” (a game where players walk through a gate while singing a song and the guardians catch the players with their hands) can be included.
The appearance of a clock at the beginning also raises suspicions about a game in which the doors close at midnight, while some believe that a group game of jumping rope could be introduced.
Additionally, paintings on the wall in the players’ sleeping quarters, which accurately depicted matches from the first season, also fueled speculation. Based on these paintings, many netizens suspect that games such as monkey bars and human chess (or minesweeper) will be included.
On the other hand, released on December 26, “Squid Game Season 2” was a huge success. The series reached the top of the charts in 93 countries and became the number one series globally on Netflix, dominating the Top 10 in just two days in countries including the United States, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Turkey.
