During the broadcast, Jo Yuri shared how she landed her role in “Squid Game Season 2.”
He explained: “I received an offer to audition through my agency and decided to give it a shot. After completing the first audition, it took about two months to hear that I had passed. I subsequently took the second, third and fourth rounds of auditions. I was recording for an OST when I got the news of my acceptance, and I couldn’t help but burst into tears.”
Reflecting on that moment, he added: “The sweetness of that news corresponded to the effort I had put into it.”
In the upcoming season, Jo Yuri will play the character Jun Hee, a participant in the deadly game due to incorrect investment information. The announcement of his casting attracted the attention of theatergoers and K-pop fans around the world.
Jo Yuri also shared what inspired her passion for acting, “I joined my high school’s drama club because I wanted to get closer to actress Yoon Ga Yi, who I admired at the time. What started as simple curiosity turned into a genuine love for acting, which ultimately shaped my dream of becoming an actress.”
Currently, Jo Yuri continues to pursue her music career alongside her acting activities. Recently, he received great love from fans for his contribution to the OST “Spring days pass” for the drama “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born”.
