Ahead of the fifth episode, tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Love Your Enemy” was released on December 7 with an intense and emotional moment between Seok Ji-won (played by Ju Ji-hoon) and Yoon Ji-won (played by Jung Yu-mi).
The previous episode saw Seok Ji-won, disguised as a desire for revenge, dive headlong into romance, giving viewers sweet emotions. His jealousy reached its peak when he said: “Did the trainee teacher (Lee Si-woo) have to sleep in the dormitory at all? This led to Seok Ji-won moving into the dorm himself, kicking off a tense coexistence with his sworn enemy under the same roof, increasing the anticipation for episodes 5 and 6.
In the newly released scenes, Seok Ji-won and Yoon Ji-won are alone in a room together. Yoon Ji-won is visibly flustered, unable to hide her trembling heart as Seok Ji-won holds her wrist. His tender, longing gaze disturbs her deeply, shaking her composure.
Behind the scenes, Ju Ji-hoon and Jung Yu-mi reportedly made considerable efforts to capture the emotional nuances of this crucial scene. From rehearsal onwards, they carefully built tension and romantic chemistry, culminating in the moment Seok Ji-won grabs Yoon Ji-won’s wrist. Their eye contact and subtle expressions created a romantic atmosphere that made for an incredibly emotional and iconic moment.
The production team shared: “Ju Ji-hoon and Jung Yu-mi’s sincere and romantic performance will stir viewers’ hearts. Furthermore, a Pandora’s Box that Yoon Ji-won has secretly kept hidden will light a spark in their tumultuous love line. We can’t wait to find out in the next episode.”
“Love Your Enemy” tells the story of Seok Ji-won and Yoon Ji-won, born on the same day with the same name but into rival families. After a painful separation at the age of 18, they meet again 18 years later, involved in a wartime romance. Episode 5 airs December 7 at 9.20pm.
