On the September 2 broadcast of KBS 1TV’s “My Hometown at 6 PM,” LE SSERAFIM members Sakura, Kazuha, and Huh Yunjin will appear alongside the village youth chairman, Son Heon-su. The members, who have never experienced rural life, will help the village elders with their chores, sharing their sincerity and spreading smiles.
The three members will meet “LE SSERAFIM from Paju,” who won first place at the 2023 National Line Dance Competition. Although they achieved great results last year through hard training, the senior members, who are in their 70s and 80s, were unable to participate in this year’s competition due to health issues and farming commitments. In response, LE SSERAFIM will transform themselves into “one-day dance instructors” with the goal of helping them win next year.
When the junior members of “LE SSERAFIM di Paju” request it, “Teach us hip hop dance” Huh Yunjin steps forward to incorporate LE SSERAFIM’s “Smart” choreography into the line dance. Yunjin takes the lead, encouraging everyone to “Smile brightly while dancing,” effectively taking on the role of a dance instructor. Her easy-going and casual demeanor, contrasted with her charismatic presence on stage, wins the hearts of the elders.
Additionally, Son Heon-su and LE SSERAFIM help with the farm chores of a member of “LE SSERAFIM of Paju” who is unwell. However, after being informed that their clothes are not suitable for farm work, they change into traditional work pants worn by the elderly and assist diligently, sweating. Sakura shares her thoughts, saying: “My back hurts and it reminds me of my grandmother.” Meanwhile, Kazuha sincerely adds, “I thought of the faces of the elderly who work hard every day” as they continue to help. Despite the heat, LE SSERAFIM demonstrates its dedication to supporting the elderly.
After hard work, LE SSERAFIM taste pumpkin leaf rolls for the first time. Huh Yunjin even makes rolls for the elders and falls in love with this new Korean dish. However, just as they are relaxing, an elder suddenly announces: “We have to pick mung beans,” reporting another agricultural task.
The special match between “My Hometown at 6:00 PM” and LE SSERAFIM will be broadcast in two parts on September 2 and 9 at 6:00 PM on KBS 1TV.
