As the year-end drama awards season approaches, SBS and MBC have officially revealed their nominees for the highly anticipated “Best Couple” category, sparking intense fan voting and online discussion.
The 2025 SBS Drama Awards, scheduled for December 31, have opened voting for Best Couple until December 24. This year, six couples in total are competing:
- Han Ji Min – Lee Jun Hyuk (Love Scout)
- Park Hyung Sik – Hong Hwa Yeon (Buried Hearts)
- Yook Sung Jae – Bona / Kim Ji Yeon (The Haunted Mansion)
- Ha Yoo Joon – Park Ji Hoo (Spring of Youth)
- Choi Woo Sik – Jung So Min (Would You Marry Me)
- Jang Ki Yong – Ahn Eun Jin (Dynamite Kiss)
The final result will be determined by 70% of the public votes and 30% of the judges’ scores. According to voting results displayed on the afternoon of December 15, Jang Ki Yong and Ahn Eun Jin are leading the race with more than 43% of the votes. Their explosive chemistry on Dynamite Kiss, currently airing, has fueled strong fan engagement and continued campaign momentum.

Close behind is the popular “CEO and secretary” duo of Love Scout’s Han Ji Min and Lee Jun Hyuk. However, industry observers note that an unexpected turn remains possible. Would You Marry Me, which aired right before Dynamite Kiss, received positive feedback domestically and internationally, and fans of Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min continue to actively campaign in online communities.
Meanwhile, MBC’s Best Couple lineup drew mixed reactions due to a relatively quieter drama year. Nominated couples include:

Among them, Moon River’s “KangDal” couple Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong have dominated early voting since the poll opened. Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo are seen as the strongest challengers, with Undercover High School standing out as the only drama with TV performance and buzz comparable to Moon River.
Voting for the 2025 MBC Drama Awards will close on December 25, ahead of the ceremony scheduled for December 30.
With passionate fanbases rallying across all platforms, the race for Best Couple at both SBS and MBC remains unpredictable until the final votes are tallied.
