As former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and NewJeans face a battle against HYBE, the group’s new photo without Hanni has attracted attention.
On September 25, NewJeans’ official SNS accounts uploaded a post featuring Minji, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein without Hanni.
The four members were seen holding up a trophy and smiling faintly, while in other photos they hugged each other, flaunting their friendship.

The fact that Hanni was nowhere to be found made fans worried, as this happened amidst the conflict between ADOR’s new management and Min Hee Jin.
There has been speculation whether this has to do with the member’s absence, especially since HYBE denied NewJeans’ request to reinstate Min as CEO and gave the parent company an ultimatum until the 25th.
On Thursday, K-media Sports World then published an article to explain what happened to the member. They wrote:
“It has been confirmed that the photo is a still image from a self-contained video uploaded to the official New Jeans YouTube channel on the 12th and 19th.”

At the time, Hanni was also nowhere to be seen, but the group explained in the caption:
“Hanni will not be present today for health reasons. We ask for your understanding.”
The idol’s health hiatus also explains why he wasn’t featured in the group’s other content, including their recent promotional AD with Calvin Klein.

Meanwhile, regarding Min Hee Jin & NewJeans’ battle against HYBE and ADOR, the latter’s board of directors fired former CEO Min Hee Jin on August 27. It has appointed Kim Joo Young, HYBE’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), as the sublabel’s new CEO.
The quintet called for former CEO Min Hee Jin to be returned to his original position by the 25th. However, this was not accepted.
