One Piece Grants the Pirate King Control Over Ancient Weapons
A Japanese translator on Twitter/X said, “In Japanese, demonstrative pronouns like ‘その – that’ can be ambiguous and can refer to multiple things. In this case, it could be referring to the power of the Ancient Weapons.”
In other words, the person who finds the One Piece might also gain control over the Ancient Weapons. However, it remains to be seen whether the translator’s interpretation is correct.
The three Ancient Weapons are indomitable weapons that devastated the world more than 800 years ago. Vegapunk said that the Great War is not over and that these powers will be used again. Currently, the story has revealed Poseidon and Pluto. However, the mermaid princess Shirahoshi cannot fully control her Poseidon powers at will. On the other hand, Pluto is hidden in Wano and no one knows how to use it.
The form and power of Uranus remain unknown. It is unclear whether Uranus is a living being like Poseidon or a man-made object like Pluto. Although the series introduced the Ancient Weapons, no one has yet fully mastered them.
Laugh Tale is believed to hold the true secret of the past. Therefore, it may also hold the key to unlocking the ability to use the Ancient Weapons. Luffy’s true dream is something he can only achieve after becoming the Pirate King. This would explain why the World Government fears the discovery of Laugh Tale and the One Piece.

Throughout the series, Luffy has expressed his dream of becoming the Pirate King. The Roger Pirates were the only ones to find it in over 800 years. The final island can be reached by following the Log Pose to Lodestar.
The only way to reach Laugh Tale is to find the four Road Poneglyphs. Each Poneglyph contains the coordinates of a location. By connecting these four locations on a map, the intersection point will reveal the location of Laugh Tale.
