Hyunny leaves VVUP for health reasons
On August 29, the VVUP agency they will do it released an official statement confirming Hyunny’s departure. The statement stressed that Hyunny will step away from group activities to prioritize her healtha decision made after careful consideration. As a result, VVUP will continue their promotions with the three remaining members: Kim, Paan, and Suyeon.
“During the promotional period, Hyunny has been committed to recovering her health,” the statement read. “During this time, we had thoughtful discussions about her future activities, but after much consideration, it was decided that Hyunny will focus solely on her recovery.”

Hyunny’s departure comes after a promising start with VVUP. The group, which officially debuted in April after a two-week pre-debut activity in March, quickly gained attention in the K-pop scene. Hyunny, born in 2005, was notably a former YG Entertainment trainee and had gained recognition through her participation in MBC’s 2021 girl group audition program, “My teenage girlfriend.” His leadership and talent were key elements in VVUP’s early success.
Despite this setback, VVUP remains committed to moving forward as a trio. The group has released their second digital single, “It’s nobody”, in July, and plan to continue their promotions with the same energy and dedication. Fans are encouraged to support both Hyunny’s recovery and the group’s ongoing activities during this transition period.
Wishing Hyunny a speedy and full recovery as she focuses on her health!
