On October 31, V shared a photo with the caption “Congratulations to all the graduates of the 1180th EBC for their hard work,” celebrating the completion of his senior colleagues’ military service.
The shared photo, taken while riding in a vehicle with his fellow soldiers, caught attention for V’s impressive physique, particularly his well-defined arms visible in his sleeveless uniform, along with his healthy complexion.
Letters from his SDT graduates proved particularly touching. An elder wrote: “Hey Taehyung hyung, we talked a lot at the base, but there are still things I want to say, so I’ll write them down. Since your move in February we have been motivating each other during training. When our unit lacked gym equipment, you donated new equipment that made our workouts more enjoyable. You bought us PX Häagen-Daz and when your song “Friends” came out you bought us meals on our outings – those were really great memories.”
He continued, “You were there to give me advice in difficult times, and even though I hadn’t decided on my career path, you discussed areas that matched my interests and recommended books. What touched me most was the way you silently believed in me even when I chose a different path than the one you suggested. You treated my dreams as if they were your own and believed in me even when I doubted myself. This helped me build a stronger foundation for my dreams. I will always keep you in my heart and, even when things get difficult or I want to give up, I will work hard and never abandon the dream you helped me discover. Thank you for being there with me through this time, whether it was short or long, sharing laughter and getting through tough workouts together.
V responded to his superior’s letter: “I was so happy to spend my military service with you and working together was really fun. I was worried that the age gap was an issue, but by breaking down that wall and hanging out as friends, just the three of us, those memories still resonate deeply with me. I wish we could be in the same class. As both a friend and a hyung, congratulations on completing your service. Whether you become a successful bodybuilder or not, let’s stay in touch and train together, remembering our memories. I will come often and help maintain the great atmosphere you guys have created in the Special Duty Team. It’s a little embarrassing that I cry because I’m so emotional. Thank you for welcoming me warmly even though you were my senior, and I was happy to create such beautiful memories with you these 8 months!”
Another wrote, “Taehyung hyung, I miss you already. I have only fond memories of the time we spent together. You were like a problem solver who always supported our dreams and helped us eliminate our worries through counseling. I’m so grateful that you provided all the exercise equipment for everyone who works out – without you I would have lost all my earnings! The time spent with you was a truly great experience and memory for me. Every time you encouraged my dreams, my uncertain path became clearer. Thank you for giving me such great hope. I will never forget your kindness and fulfill my dream of standing proudly before you. Thank you and please stay safe!”
Besides that, the elders also promised to visit V regularly, creating a heartwarming moment of camaraderie.
