YouTuber and TV host Tzuyang, currently featured on Omniscient interference pointreleased a deeply emotional confession while accepting the Popularity Award at the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards.
The ceremony was held on December 29 at MBC in Sangam-dong, Seoul, hosted by Jun Hyun Moo and Jang Do Yeon. That evening, Tzuyang was announced as the winner of the Female Popularity Award.
Accepting the trophy after a warm hug with host Choi Hong Man, Tzuyang appeared visibly surprised.
“I really didn’t expect this at all. This is my first time attending an awards ceremony and I came prepared. Thank you so much for giving me such an important award,” he said.
He continued, “I am grateful to Omniscient interference point team and all the kind staff members. I’m also about to reach 13 million subscribers on YouTube and I’m so grateful for that.”
However, it was his subsequent remarks that left the public silent.
“I thought life was full of difficulties. I thought I was already going through something unbearable.” he said with a trembling voice. “But when I actually reached a point where I felt like I might die, I realized that I wanted to live. I worked incredibly hard, because I wanted to live.”
Fighting back tears, Tzuyang reflected on how those moments shaped her.
“Because all those moments existed, I think I managed to find myself here today in such a precious place,” he said. “This place may disappear one day, and other difficulties may arise again, but I think I will be able to continue living with strength, retaining the memory of being here today.”

He ended his speech on a lighter note, jokingly dedicating the award to foods like curry, eliciting laughter from the audience and lightening the emotional weight of the moment.
Tzuyang’s remarks were inevitably reminiscent of the shocking revelation made in July last year. During a YouTube live stream, she revealed that she had suffered physical abuse and financial extortion totaling approximately KRW 40 billion over four years by her former agency CEO and ex-boyfriend, identified as A.
According to reports, Tzuyang was trapped in an unfair contract and failed to receive at least 40 billion won in settlement payments. He has prosecuted numerous civil cases, including claims for unpaid earnings, contract termination and trademark disputes, as well as criminal charges for habitual assault, threats, extortion, coercion and violations of sexual assault laws.
However, as the case was ongoing, A died and the criminal case was eventually closed due to lack of judicial authority.
On stage at the MBC Awards, Tzuyang’s words carried the weight of survival rather than victory, turning what could have been a celebratory moment into a powerful testament to resilience.
