TWICE’s Dahyun talks about her first leading role in a drama series and the members’ support

On December 18, JTBC held a production presentation for its new Friday series Love me at the Link Hall, The Link Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul. Director Jo Young-min attended the event along with cast members Seo Hyun-jin, Yoo Jae-myung, Lee Si-woo, Yoon Se-ah, Jang Ryul and Dahyun.

Speaking at the event, Dahyun candidly expressed her excitement and gratitude for taking up acting for the first time. “I was already happy just to be part of such a beautiful project,” he said. “Being able to act in the same drama with such amazing senior actors made me really happy.”

She added that the experience left a deep impression on her, saying: “Because filming was so much fun, I think my first drama will remain a great memory for me.”

Dahyun also revealed how much strength she drew from her TWICE members during the long filming period, which lasted from winter to summer. “They kept asking me if I was too tired and told me they would definitely watch the drama and encourage me,” he shared. “This kind of support has given me a lot of strength.”

Love me tells the story of a family that may seem ordinary and even a little selfish, but deeply loving in their own way, as each member begins their own journey of love and personal growth. The series is directed by Jo Young-min, who previously earned praise for her sensitive portrayal of emotions and relationships in the Netflix series You and everything else.

With Seo Hyun-jin often called a “trusted master of melodrama” as the lead, the drama is already acclaimed as one of the most anticipated romance series of the winter season.

Love me will premiere on December 19 at 8:50pm KST on JTBC, with episodes 1 and 2 airing consecutively.
